AFSCME Annual Lobby Day | |
Wisconsin AFSCME Annual Lobby Day 2010 was March 3 in Madison. Lobby Day is when nearly 500 AFSCME members from around the state visit their Wisconsin Legislators, speaking with one voice about the importance of public services. All Local 1914 members and family are invited to participate. Engaging face to face with Wisconsin Legislators keeps working family issues on the Wisconson legislative agenda . Buses leave from the Labor Temple Lounge at 6:30 a.m. and return around 5:30 p.m.
Participation makes a huge statement for our issues to the legislators, many who do not appreciate our dedicated service to the State, or even recognize that we are here and we are going to be around longer than some of them are and we deserve to be recognized, heard, and respected.
Make this small commitment to stand up for our issues and claim respect for the jobs we do everyday.
Contact a Local 1914 officer or executive board or Scott Smirga, Take Back America Organizer NW, 715-839-0507 or ssmriga@wiafscme.org, to reserve your seat on the bus.
