Local 1914 Membership Meetings
Monthly membership meetings were recently changed to the third Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. , lower level, Labor Temple Lounge, 2233 Birch Street, Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Meetings are no smoking and free parking. Attend to bring concerns forward, gain insight into how your union is run. Our next membership meeting is March 20, 2017. Decision-making power in Local 1914 rests with its members. Major policy and budget decisions are made at monthly membership meetings. Members who attend meetings even on a semi-regular basis find it easier to understand what's going on and participate in discussion and debate.
Meetings are a chance to informally talk to stewards and officers about how the Union functions. Monthly meetings allow members to elect Local 1914 officers and delegates to bargaining and educational conferences, and state, local and national union meetings.
Local 1914 Wisconsin State Employees Union approves the annual budget at our January membership meeting. Your monthly membership dues are the single revenue source for Local 1914.
