About Local 1914 | |
Wisconsin State Employees Union Local 1914 represents all non-academic employees of the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire, Wisconsin and state employees in Eau Claire, Chippewa, Rusk, Clark and Taylor counties, except those employees in the jurisdiction of other AFSCME local unions. Approximately 300 workers are represented by Local 1914 in Administrative Support, Blue Collar and Non-Building Trades, Technical, and Security and Public Safety classifications. We negotiate wages, hours, working conditions, and represent people who have a grievance with management.
We are a democratically run membership organization. Monthly meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month, 5:30 p.m. at the Labor Temple Lounge, 2233 Birch Street, Eau Claire WI. The best way to ensure that the union represents your views is to become a member and participate in meetings. That’s where issues are voted on and decisions are made.
