Local 1914 is affliated with AFSCME 32 , the recent unification of Wisconsin’s organized Locals of municipal, city, county, and state employees. Work connects us all; what happens in our counties and cities affects as a state workers. Part of our monthly dues goes to AFSCME 32; part goes to AFSCME International. United, together, we continue building a strong labor movement with shared resources – money and member participation. Organizers, field reps, and district board directors contact information is found on the AFSCME 32 website; you can follow them on Facebook and Twitter. They want to hear suggestions and complaints from members in order to keep their work member-driven. Local 1914 is in District One.
Local 1914 members invite you to share this site with non-member colleagues and encourage them to attend a regular membership meeting, 5:30 p.m. at the Labor Temple on Birch Street, the third Monday each month. No smoking and free parking.

About Local 1914
Wisconsin State Employees Union Local 1914 represents all non-academic employees of the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire, Wisconsin and state employees in Eau Claire, Chippewa, Rusk, Clark and Taylor counties, except those employees in the jurisdiction of other AFSCME local unions. Approximately 300 workers are represented by Local 1914 in Administrative Support, Blue Collar and Non-Building Trades, Technical, and Security and Public Safety classifications. We represent state employees and aggressively advocate for a voice at each of our worksites.
We are a democratically run membership organization. Monthly meetings are held on the third Monday of each month, 5:30 p.m. at the Labor Temple Lounge, 2233 Birch Street, Eau Claire WI. The best way to ensure that the union represents your views is to become a member and participate in meetings. That’s where issues are voted on and decisions are made.
Local 1914, AFSCME 32 approves an annual budget at the December membership meeting. Monthly membership dues are the single revenue source for Local 1914. Contact a Local 1914 officer or executive board member to request membership information. Keep your address updated with Local 1914 to not miss important membership information mailed to your home.
Employee protection has a long history in Wisconsin.
Attend the next meeting and support your Union. Local meetings are smoke free and parking fee free.
